Art Photography? You be the judge!!

If you read my blog yesterday you would have read that Im not that much into Art Photography, but as I was perusing along, looking at others’ photos and reading a few blogs that piqued my interest, I couldn’t help but think, “Could I do that?”

I saw a photo of a leaf in a bowl of ice, naturally I thought it was a natural occurrence but was left feeling a bit cheated when after I read the blog, found out that it was “staged”.  Still, there was another blog in which highlighted a few winter macros.  Again, I felt inspired, yet this time I was left feeling encouraged.

Sunken Meadow is centrally located along the Long Island Sound.  When I first moved out here 3 years ago, it was the first park I visited.  There was so much wildlife filled with Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Night Herons and many more shore birds.  Whenever I feel the need to grab my camera it’s usually Sunken Meadow that I frequent.  There are of course other state parks that I like to visit however I usually have better luck at Sunken Meadow when I want to take photos.  The other parks serve their own purpose usually for a good hike.

So today, after reading a few more blogs and checking out a few “Winter” shots, I was compelled to get my ass out of the house and get some “winter” shots for myself.  I took a few macros and enhanced them once I downloaded  onto photoshop.  I tried to make them as “artsy” as possible.icetree
