Where do I go??

AkronFalls

I certainly don’t consider myself lazy, but Im looking for a bit of advice in regard to answering the age ole question, “Where do I go from here?” I admit my portrait photos could use some practice but no one seems to be knocking down my door to get their headshots done or Senior/Prom pics.  I believe my engagement photos came out quite nice (Armstrong Images of Long Island) but when it comes to “Art Photography” I kinda lose interest.  Don’t get me wrong, I do love a great photo of liquids in motion or Macro Stacking, but I find myself asking, “What am I going to get out of it?” It’s not that I mastered the art of lighting either although I do have a keen understanding of Key, Fill and Spot lighting and know how to use it, hell, I even know how to manipulate lighting into how I want to use it!

But my heart belongs to Nature Photography.  It’s my way of getting in touch with my Creator and all his beauty and Glory.  Ive been getting into Landscape photography as of late but I also love foliage, floral, insects and our furry little four legged critters!  Unfortunately after one takes a hundred photos of a squirrel, cat, roses, autumn leaves or spider, you kinda lose interest.  A “been there, done that” mentality.

I read a lot of photography books and “how-to’s” and Ive actually set up my camera to work on a few projects but after I find either how difficult they may be or perhaps how simple they are, I lose interest.  Again, the ole “What am I getting out of it?” comes into play.  But in a previous post I stated how much I enjoy Multiplicity Photography too; it allows me to keep up and learn new things with Photoshop.

I would also like to thank those of you who follow my posts.  I haven’t reciprocated however that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy your blogs/photos.  One of these days I will, and not because Im reciprocating your good will but because as I have seen and read your blogs, I really do enjoy them!
