Its a shame we live in a society where we love to believe so many negative images depicting only what the poster wants us to feel with no proof to back it up. We live in a meme society where most memes are meant to be funny, but when it becomes thought provoking or negative and nasty, people react as it were true. Take for example the photo above. As the photo illustrates, there are two issues that stick out. One of them is the obvious “man-spreading” while the other, though hard to tell, is the woman standing, is pregnant. How easy it would be to call out the man as being selfish and chauvinistic and perhaps a few other choice words. But I would be highlighting only what I want you to know about the photo. The fact of the matter is that the man did ask her if she would care to sit down, she refused. As for the “man-spreading”, there was plenty of space for other patrons to sit, although some may still find it rude for the man to sit that way, Ill give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he would allow someone to sit with him if someone wanted.
Ive noticed many stories on Facebook, prominently since that’s the significant source of fallacies and yellow journalism, promoting false reporting and “fake” videos. The publisher only posts what they want the watcher to see then make outrageous opinions and most people eat that shit up!!! No one wants to research the story. There are many creative people out there who can put a story together and add a few photos that may be relevant and supportive of the argument they are trying to make with no point but to get people angry. Don’t get me started on those Trolls!! Those people are the worse! They contribute to a story, statement, video or meme by posting the most asinine statement, and people respond!!!
I wish people would stop perpetuating the hate! I understand that our world is in a bad place right now however I am a true believer of the words “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”-Ghandi.
